VOLRISKMAC II, a project financed by the INTERREG V A Spain-Portugal MAC 2014-2020 Territorial Cooperation Program, was born as a continuation of the VOLRISKMAC project.
The general objective of VOLRISKMAC II is to strengthen I+D+i capacities for the development of resilience against future volcanic emergencies in Macaronesia.
This project aims to strengthen the volcanic early warning system in Macaronesia by improving instrumental networks and developing and implementing innovative methodologies, strengthening the resilience of volcanic monitoring systems in Macaronesia, and generating a collaborative network between Participating partners and national and/or international I+D institutions with a recognized track record to strengthen the scientific response to volcanic emergencies in Macaronesia.
